Victorious Failure II

In victory we once failed,
And over the coming years,
The tunnel light that once was,
Just a lost memory in my eyes.

Our voices lost on the winds,
Redeemed, once more those words.
And words became an action,
Which in turn became a kiss.

Failure once, no more abounds,
Victorious we are, together.
Passions rampant and roiling,
Hearts burning with desires.

Time for us may be short,
But with so much potential,
Can not we hope to build,
Something sweet and lasting.

What could have been,
Had fate not intervened,
But oh, fickle fates!
We have a chance again...
