You told me I was worthless
Told me I’d never amount to anything
Told me I was fragile.
Told me no one would ever be proud of me.
You were my teacher.
You were supposed to have respect,
You were supposed to support and protect me.
Instead you told me I was week.
No athlete.
Well guess what.
You’re still sitting in a dead end job,
How’s that for worthless?
How’s that for not amounting to anything.
Look at me shine.
I’m a star.
A flying, dancing, shooting star.
Everyone is proud of me.
I’m strong, stronger than you.
Maybe I’m not world champion yet
But look at me and see how much I’ve amounted to.
In two years you could have taught me so much.
Look how quickly I learned with the right teacher.
Look at me now.
