Falling

And darkness closes in,
While I walk to the edge.
Memories come creeping in,
As I take a step closer to the ledge.

Tears pour from my bloodshot eyes,
Running down my ghost white face.
This pain in my heart,
I will disappear without a trace.

Your name on my mind,
and my foot hanging in mid air.
I don't know how it got so bad,
But I don't think you would really care.

So I take a step,
and I say goodbye.
Falling forever for you,
It was pointless even try
