I am eight steps away
And I am but a syllable
In her mystery of sand
She is the divison of blind
Charmed with an inviolable presence
That moment before
A breath
Of life
Reduced to a child
I am an illegible scroll
Wandering within her
I stutter with the moon
And the stars
Shining
Beneath her gravity
I graciously bow
And I am still
Eight steps away

I love this piece wholeheartedly. The references to eight steps really seeps into my soul. In my eyes it perfectly speaks of the 8 ways. What I really dig about this piece is the personal aspects of it, it embodies what the deity means to you, you let your spirit ride here beautifully. The style in unique and I cannot help but feel empowered reading this. It is as though it really reaches to bring me into it, like it wants to captivate me and share some private story, some unspoken power with me. I can't shake it and I'm not sure I want to. This actually quite enchanted me. A very strong piece. Bravo!
