Desi little monster- a Desi tale

Once upon a time in a land not so far away lived a happy little family of monsters. They lived in a magically beautiful land where there were boy and girl trees. The boy trees were blue and the girl trees were pink. The sky was purple and always filled with sparkling glitter on the wind. 
The littlest of the monster family was Destiny, but everyone called her Desi little monster. Desi's best friend was Tina. Tina was a beautiful unicorn with deep blue eyes, a purple mane and a pink horn. Tina and Desi would laugh and play all over the land smelling the bright orange flowers of the land.
One day a bad man came to the land and he was hunting for unicorns and dragons.  As Desi little monster who was a tiny little dragon looking monster with a golden horn and Tina played running through the orange flowers around the blue boy trees and racing up the hill toward the pink girl trees all of a sudden Tina gave out a loud yell. She had been caught in a net and hurt her leg.  Desi ran to her and pulled and pulled at the net but couldn't get Tina loose. Oh my gosh what should I do said Desi. And then it came to Tina please Desi try to blow fire like your dad and burn the net and set me free. Desi put her head back breath deeply in and puffed hard but only a small puff of smoke came out. Oh I can't said Desi. But Tina pleaded please try again Desi I know you can do it I believe in you my friend. So once again Desi put her head back and breath in every bit of air her little lungs could hold and then with all her little might she puffed hard and at first only smoke streamed out, but then as Desi kept trying a small stream of flame came out and burned the rope on the net and Desi and Tina pulled and pulled and set Tina free. But they where still afraid because what if the bad man who set the net comes back what should they do?  So they quickly ran to their parents and papa dragon monster got so mad that as he snorted he almost set the house afire and he ran out of the house stomping his big feet and waging his huge tail. He was gonna find the bad man and make him go away from their magical land. While papa dragon monster was away Desi checked on her friend Tina's leg and she was fine. So Momma dragon monster made them some sunfire cookies Desi's favorite. They went to Desi's room to play with Desi's pet people dolls. Desi and Tina played and played until Papa dragon monster returned he had ran the bad man off and all was safe in the beautiful magical land and Desi and Tina could live happy healthy lives as best friends forever and ever. And now we come to the end of a Desi tale.

    Nice job. I love the graphic you used. It's a happy tale and was most enjoyable. As I am telling the other 4 entrants, if I don't get more entries soon, I will be removing entries and deleting the contest. We'll see what happens and if I have to do that, I''m sorry.

    Thank for your entry. Though quite entertaining, it was not what I was looking for. I wanted poetry, but your story was very well written and had a cute ending.

    this is nice and sweet. this is just me, but if you used quotation marks and paragraphs it'd read a lot easier. but it's a nice little story here.

    "The boy trees were blue and the girl trees were pink." why couldn't the girl trees be blue and the boy trees be pink. Lmao.. I enjoyed this alot. Great use of words and very well written.     it's a cute fairytale, but it killed me to read it because desi was my old horse's name, and him being portrayed as a dragon was sad ): but haha, i know you didnt do it knowing xD good luck
