A wise man listens
and does not speak
in haste
His demeanor is one
of humilty instead of
boastful pride
Sound judgement needs
no covering
but lies dwell in the
shadows of darkness
The heart of the people
is the kings delight
but foolishness is a
endless banquet in the
soul of the selfish
By the counsel of many
wisdom and truth are sown
The harvest of the simpleminded
is a reaping of spoiled goods
"We are known by the fruit we bear."
and a bad tree cannot bring forth
good fruit."
Bush policies and action speaks
for themselves.
All anyone in the office of the
presidency has to do is to have
a willing heart to do whats right.
Obviously our president has his
own agender which does not reflect
the will or needs of the people.
So what I would do if I were president
is to listen to sound counsel.
Seek Gods guidence and put the needs
of the people before my own.
What I would have done differently
if I were president.
The first thing I would have done
was to listen to the intelligence
I recieved from those I put in trust
to protect this country.
Secondly, after the fact I would
have admitted my arrogance and
ignorance for not acting on the
knowlege given by CIA/FBI etc..
Then I would have quickly secured
every one of our borders.
Afterwards, I would have sat down
with my intelligence, the senate
and all high ranking servants of
the USA.
Simultaneously meeting with the UN
to try and ascertain the best action
necessary in order to
1. capture all those involved
2. bring stability and calm back to the people
3. join forces around the world to rid
the world from terrorism
Finally, to continually engage both
parties republican and democrats
aswell as US intelligence.
In order to keep all parties concerned
in the loop.
While always reassuring the american people
that we are doing everything in our power
to keep them and their families safe.
As far as Al-Quaeda is concern,
I would issue firm warning to comply
with all our investigations into
their involvement.
While carefully accessing intelligence
from all sources including the UN and
intelligence around the world to find
out the truth of, who what when and why?

This is really beautiful, if only all worked this well like well oiled machinery. How do you know he did not do this? AS for the UN that terrifies me.

Thanks for the entry, Darell. You expressed your points very well.
I don't understand why this wasn't written in paragraph/essay form rather than as a free verse poem since it reads like prose.
It's difficult for me not to address the points you raised, but I said I was going to stay out of political disagreements and I'm going to do it or die trying. lol
Thanks very much for your entry.
