A June Day

Clouds are crowding the sky,
the color of gray;
I'll let this one by,
I had breakfast in a café
An azure of blue showed up;
I thought, this is monday,anyway
A poets muse will sup,
down pathways with flashy greens;
dogs in tow, leaning to and fro,
to brighten things up a bird sings;
do they know?
It's June, a fine morning's time
It rained yesterday, they hang on a breeze

Clouds are crowding the sky
Soft billowed and white

    Pleasantly pastoral ...

    and it ends on a soothing note. What more could anyone ask?
