How easy we all confess
that our life is such a mess
To strangers we can't see
and open ourself so freely
A kind word from somewhere
our troubles they will share
No judgement they give here
just lends a gentle ear
So many lonely souls
that wants their stories told
Without the face of pity
they all come from different cities
We gather like a herd
to share a painful word
Or give a little smile
thats been needed for awhile
To my invisible friends out there
I thank you for your care
Listening day to day
to what I have to say

Poetry helps us express ourselves and the many things that happen in our daily lives; loves won and lost; tragedies, joyous occasions. You have written about that in these lines. Easy to read and understand what you mean - we can all relate to that.

This is great and such a true reflection on all poetry and the family of poets here...its amazing how we spill our beans to people all over the world!
