Standstill Moment

I want to travel to a world,
Where there is only you and I.
Expectations gone,
Social influences dashed.
Love finally has its space to breathe.
Let it fill up our lungs,
And consume us,
Like the fire it deserves.
Close your eyes,
Hold onto this moment,
This is how it should be each & every day.
Your smell on my clothes,
The warmth of your touch,
The happiness from your happiness,
The light from your eyes,
That leads my way.
Now open them,
Let reality sink back in,
Look me straight in the eye again,
And tell me why you don’t love me.
