Nervousness entwines heartbeat with quivers,
singular thoughts romp through minefields of chaos -
dilation of empathy rushes through veins of silk.
Fear instigates whispered threats of rejection:
Dare I be unique?
Dare I be me?

Bravo!
Dare I be me ... heck of a line and a question. It is one we all wrestle with in this world.
I love the simplicity yet the strength in your words

Thank you & Best of luck

The problem is, there are so many people that cater toward the Status Quo. That are afraid to be unique. That are afraid to be their own true selves. We are like sheep, or automatons.
The blind leading the blind. Following behind one another without question. People need to escape from the monotony of their own lives and embrace uniqueness in all of its glory.
You have written a thought-provoking piece here Tatts. Food for thought indeed. I found this quite sad too. Good luck in the contest.
