Ten little demi-gods,
awash with so much power,
deemed to be much higher,
than those paid by the hour!
Listen to them rant and rave,
when no one is about,
finding one has made mistakes!
casually throw them out.
Nine little demi-gods,
at least one less to please,
asking for more taxes,
bring workers to their knees.
Default payments mounting,
did not hear the call,
it's not their money, why worry?
another few do fall.
One little demi-god,
alone in silver palace,
no reason now to worry
he is a friend of Alice.
Soon replace with sycophants
And family, bless them all!
Help build again the fortress
then call it city hall.
let no one pass nor enter
who is not on the rote
if they have of some complaining
should remember then to vote.
We all of us elect them,
the ones who wish us ill,
no use to then reject them
so sit and try to chill.
If you don't like what their doing
it aint no good to pass
get out there now campaining
no use sitting on your ass.

Politics are much the same the world over.
A country gets what they vote for.
If you dont vote, can it.
BUT
if you do vote...........................................

This and the first stance were my favorte - you should have kept the count down going from 10, 9, 8, 7,6- it would have made it lyrical and satrical- and extremely funny and would drive your point home. Well sometime you can try it. Well written.
