I would like to preface this by saying,
I don't hate anyone. However, for the
first time in my life, I have no respect for
our president.
I feel George Bush, along with numerous
others, have systematically torn our country
to pieces.
The Katrina Disaster is a wound that has
left our country scarred, forever.
After nine eleven, we should never have gone
into Iraq....Saddam Hussein was NEVER the one we
were supposed to be after. But somehow through
media fed lies, and pounding people with such
important events as movie star's private lives,
they have managed to hypnotize the American
people. (Either that, or it's all the med's
that everyone is on!)
I believe the reasoning behind the war was
pure and simple greed....Both Bush and Cheney
have profited personally. They have both also,
recently purchased land. Cheney in Dubai and
Bush in Costa Rica (250,000 acres).
But I digress....what would I have done
differently? Katrina; I would have set up
shelters as close as possible. Sent in National
Guard to help the people protect their belongings,
and re-build. I would have made sure the trucks
with the food, arrived in a timely manner and
weren't sitting, rotting in another state.
In short; I would have helped the people re build
and start their lives again.
America needs to move away from oil driven power.
Wind, solar, and Hydro-electric power are all
very feasible alternatives. (Bush had the solar
panels, the Clintons put in, taken out, when he
took office). Wave power from the
ocean is also feasible. I really feel it's the
only way to go. Work with nature, not against her.
So I guess I can't say what I would have done
if I was George Bush, because he's an oil guy,
greedy, and doesn't give a damn about any of us.
He has taken from us, another generation. Not
only those who lost their lives in this war, but
those who were wounded, both physically and mentally.
And their wives, and mothers, and friends, and
the country.....
I hope we can find our soul again, and I hope
whoever becomes our next president, gets us out
of Iraq.....and we can start healing....

Thanks for this entry. It's written with intelligence and passion. The only thing that distracted me was that you broke it into lines as if it were a poem rather than just writing it in paragraph/essay form.
I should also tell you that I had this contest because I support Bush and most of what he has done, and as a challenge to people who don't like Prez Bush because intelligent suggestions re. what they would have done differently are usually not given. However, you did so and did so very well. Thanks again.

Yea while he was putting in those solar panels Clinton was also giving computer software to the Chinese for campaign donations, he also had the opportunity to arrest and bring to trial Osama Bin Laden
but he was too busy smoking cigars if you get my drift... he also bombed an aspirin and fertilizer plant when our embassy was bombed... he sent troops to Kosovo and said they would be home by Christmas just not by what century.. ( they are still there) he did a real big bang up job with that...we really need his wife in office an extension of him.. and Obama we know next to nothing about this man except he lies!!! and he promises everything he can not possibly come through with one fourth of what he is promising with out bankrupting the country... so tell me sister as I am the wife of a disabled vet and the system is driving me insane not to mention he is also who the hell do you want in office??? I will vote for you if you will run and stand by your promises!
sorry Bush bashing is very popular I am so sick of it Clinton was a traitor and worse and so many others... Look at us now hiding our Vietnam vets again because Communism is popular furniture from Vietnam and who the hell cares 58 thousand body bags... suicides cancer deaths birth defects I could go on and on... do you buy these goods? GE products? any thing made from communist countries?? any of you if you do than SHAME ON YOU !!! for not supporting your vets and families. -

I agree...they were traitors...and I never said I was voting for Clinton...and yes I vote..I have since I was 18.....My family owns a company.....We are proud to put made in USA on our labels...
You know Rheea, in my opinion....putting anything back at the last minute is just a game...
And WHY then didn't dear mr. Bush go after Bin Laden???
Do you HONESTLY thing 4,000 young men and womens's lives have been given for anything for our country or just oil?????
I never said I didn't support the troops, the vets, or our country.....

and in my humble opinion......A blow job is not as devastating as what Bush has done.....personally I think they are all in bed together....

I watch my labels very carefully, what does putting any thing back at the last minute mean? I see very little here that you would do differently? and yes Bush has people in Afghanistan for Bin Laden you should know that. I know about your friend already and I am proud of your families company. I am proud to know you as you are always kind and have funny good contests.. how ever we can disagree and still be friends at least I hope so.. the thing is every one who wants to bash Bush never thinks that they themselves could do better by veterans. Look at what is attached to all bills that are not passed before jumping on a band wagon.. about bills for veterans... I think Bush is far from perfect but so are most of us he became president under very difficult times
we have never attacked a president like this even when he lied to the American people on TV... I do not know it is very sad to me very and mostly from people who pick up the chant from others.
my point is Bush you say is for oil..at the expense of lives.
Are we the American people so eager to forget the Vietnam war and veterans we will buy products from Vietnam? forgetting the lives? What is the difference?
my child is just as dead? My husbands PTSD is just as real. His blood count just as low. Explain please some one?

Mr. Bush has been in office for almost eight years now....has he done anything in your opinion? That's the problem.....he doesn't care about the American people......I truly believe that....we have to start revolting...it is the only way....my friend has been fighting the vet's admin.......with morgellans...
I'm sure you know what I'm talking about...
And I would run......but the American people have become apathetic and complacent....It would take too
radical of changes for most...lol....
