I remember you dressed in summer golds
A picture framed in memories so fragile to hold
Filled with special moments that float like leaves
Falling gently to the ground
I touch them with an open heart and they crumble
As they tumble all around
I remember days of holding you
Of seaside breezes blowing through
Your laughing eyes and easy smiles
Those sunlight days and moonlit nights of you
Do you remember too?
I remember times as we once were
How times have changed the memories stir
The ache remains a gentle pain
That fills me up now and again
With images of you
Distant memories filter through
Do you remember too?

I had a vision of an elderly gentleman sitting in his rocking chair on the front porch thinking these thought's. Very tender and sweet. Memories keep us sane or drive us insane.....

It plagues us doesn't it? Wondering if they remember us ans we do them and if they do, are our memories the same? This is a nice piece letting your thoughts pour out. Thanks for entering
