I love it; I hate it
I can't live without it
Turn on the TV, the radio, magazines
Even papers that are free
It's everywhere I can't hide
It won't let me be
I love it; I hate it
I can't live without it
Generations of addiction
Is the way my life has been
How can I surpass
What has been my family sin?
I love it; I hate it
I can't live without it
I vowed it would not get me
I'd be different from the rest
I lasted through puberty
Adulthood I failed the test
I love it; I hate it
I can't live without it
Society rejects people like me
We’re lumps strained through a sieve
Destined to be thrown away
No matter how we live
I love it; I hate it
I can't live without it
I have worth, I have value
I am beautiful, why can’t you see
How can I fight what I need to live?
Why must my outer appearance
Invalidate me
I love it; I hate it
I can't live without it
Obesity
My addiction but not by choice
Hereditary yes, but I gave it help
I admit no lie will I give voice
I love it; I hate it
I can’t live without it
I refuse to be judged by man
As I leave you let me say this
I am happy, I am loved, secured in being me
Food is my addiction
I love it; I hate it
I can’t live without it
