If the day shall come when death is no more,
And love triumphs for good
When right is right and there is no wrong,
And youth and wisdom are one
Then surely time will cease to be,
And we’ll hold hands through forever.
But until that day comes to pass
Time will simply watch
As gold becomes gray and wisdom is gained
In compensation for useless legs
As beauty becomes age and curves vanish,
We could care less.
Lost in our own forever

My lady, you are a writer. no doubt. Three lines worthy to be published. keep the ink alive,
as the blood in your veins! YOU ARE A WRITER!

I liked the idea of an eternity or eternal life here on earth…appreciating those we love while we are still alive and not just waiting for death and eternal life.
I also liked the way the last line “lost in our own forever” stands there – making a statement – it is the now that matters, despite the “useless legs” and gray hair. So many truths expressed here in a simplistic way but with a lingering quality. Thank you for this entry.
