Time To Love

Missing image

Inadvertently we can't escape
change; our day has come.
Reaching for your hand
emotions are altered like
an arrangement of roses.

In beauty we stand; lasting
infinity burned into our hearts.
Forever is ticking away slowly
like soft whispers
of life in symphonies.

Muted words of sultry desires
live within us; all eternity.
Clocks are of the essence
waltzing to love, we
shall grasp divinely.

I love you.....

There is a sense of real love, beauty and warmth about this poem – something that lasts – and that is rare indeed! I liked the sincerity of voice, as well as this line: “emotions are altered like an arrangement of roses” – lovely image that.

I think it was Walter Rinder who once wrote “this time called life was meant to share” (and I think he meant “to love” because to love is to share beauty, to touch, etc. until the end. Nicely done – loved the soft and romantic feel about this poem. Thank you for your entry.

The entire poem speaks to me in ways that are, and yet are not, hard to understand. I particularly like the first verse, most especially the first two lines:

    "Inadvertently we can't escape
    change; our day has come."

So true, so true. You really know how to take the ball and run with it. I've read some wonderful poetry by you, this one has to be near the top of the list. Time haunts, and love endures.

I loved the picture as well, dovetails with your write very well.

    I love you,
    Brazos

    Voila!

This is a beautiful testimony to love's endurance. Well done, sweet poet, well done! These are my favorite lines:
    "emotions are altered like
an arrangement of roses." - almost surreal in its imagery, very powerful. I can almost see the hands of the heart rearranging a bunch of emotions, each one just a bud, waiting to open, full and fragrant. You constantly amaze me with your formidable talent. Keep your pen to the page and good luck in the contest!

What a beautiful tribute to love... I thought the imagery... the descriptive metaphoric language was absolutely brilliant. It spoke a good message and spoke it well. Great job.
