Memories cascade in a whirl wind of baked hues
of red, terracotta and azure blues
Two hearts entwined within the heat of a summer romance
fingers laced as we left footprints on golden sands
Sea spray splashing as our bodies merged, gold on cream
the ocean singing to us her sweet seductive melody
The taste of your kiss lingered on my lips like a heady wine
leaving me tipsy under a bright jewel set night sky
Laughter echoed as we enjoyed just being
cradling each other savouring the intensity of our feelings
Passions rose as palm tree's shadows caressed our silhouettes
treasured moments of mad love drenched in deep bliss
Pearl drops of tears rained in our hearts
as the time came within the setting of the sun for us to part
Holding each other within the warmth of a late summer breeze
kissing each other, we wiped away our tears
Vowing we would always stay
a picture postcard memory away....
