Your criticisms
are sand
thrown to the wind
to be shunted back
violently
as you carelessly
mock us
Tiny infinitesimal
pebbles that blind you
to your error
How can you destroy
so freely
and not build within the confines
of modest expectations?
Try taking a day
to construct.
Just to get a sense
how real teachers feel
They say to grow a plant
requires
to prune it
but you here have pruned it
with a scythe as would
impress Cold Death
herself
and have wounded mortally
too many creative souls.

Author notes
I am almost seventeen, and am writing concerning topic 8. How ironic to forbid cliché and yet be "fed up" with people. I disagree with the way in which you criticize people's work and argue in my piece that your tendency to criticize so harshly is detrimental. just something with which I'm "fed up".

I consider your comments complaining and if you do not like the way I run my contest then why waste your time entering? that within itself is hypocritical; to enter a poem into a contest with which you disagree with. If you were wishing to "teach me a lesson" or "open my eyes" to my cruel evil ways I am here to let you know that your whinig has done just the opposite but to renew the vigor with which I believe that If I run a contest to give away MY points to someone than I may judge them however I feel. If you do not like it stay away from me. I am not forcing anyone to enter this contest and I have quite plainly stated that Im a bitch. My opinions are my opinions and whether you agree with them or not is your buisness but I am aloud to state them as you are yours. But when Im running my contest I do not wish for you to tell me how unjust I am and how being fed up with people's work is cliche. Quite frankly everything is sickengly over done. No ones life is any kind of originality because so many lives have been lived before us to take away any chance we would have to create something of our own. So next time you feel like preaching to me about how Im wrong and mean and you dont like the way I criticize save yourself the effort of typing because I will more than likely refute anything you have to say. Thank you for your time and comments and have a nice day.

As to your first point, it's not hypocritical, it's an exercise of my freedom of speech. I disagree with the way you criticize others' work (especially considering your own paper-thin credentials) and I felt the need to comment. Nor am I whining; did you actually read the piece? Your opinions ARE your opinions, and I am ALLOWED (not 'aloud') to disagree with them as I please. You really haven't refuted anything as you've completely dodged my criticism and instead attacked me personally. How about you address what I've said in the piece, and evaluate it properly, then form a criticism that is at least coherent (you verge into nihilism in your last statements...) in order to 'refute' anything. As much as I doubt you sincerely wish me a nice day, I really hope you'll read the piece and appreciate it for what it is, a poem, rather than reveal your insecurity so blatantly.

Oh Yure cute. Really.
Insecurity.
Sure If you say so.
What ever you say you have beaten me with your superiority and I see the error in my ways I am bad person and I suck and you wrote an amazing piece and I'll never critize others again. you won congratuolations.
RIGHT
now you got what you want
So stop your dumb bickering.
Youre not teaching me anything with this crap. SORRY
But I did sincerely wish you a nice day.
