We once spent our days together
As boyfriend and girlfriend do.
There were movies and games
And some fast food places too.
You said we’d be together forever
But now I know it was just a lie.
You once said you loved me
And I thought it was true.
I would have given my whole heart to you
But when you ran off with that other woman
My heart broke in two.
I had cried my eyes out
Because of you.
I’ve found another love now
Who loves just as you did.
He understands what I’ve been through
And will take it nice and slow.

This is a very powerful and well written poem. I love that it does not follow after the normal 'broken hearted' poem. It more or less has a happy ending, because you have moved on, yet there is the problem that a peice of your heart is still with him.
Love that.
