My talisman, my Blue Dragon,
you have rekindled my sagging spirit,
and every day since, I have felt
the fullness of a renewed flame,
burning ever higher unto the heavens.
So little meaning before your wind.
Your heartfelt secret syllables have
alone, melted modest flesh and bone
into deepening puddles of indigo...
Collected downpour often to overflow,
re-routes the rivers course-
but a few errant tears
will not dilute your lifetime passion.
How bravely you must embrace
each alternate current,
when desires seek sanity's shore.
No bridges are burning,
nor washing out in a wake
of emotional flood...
Winds have changed, come upon us,
simply altering a previous course.
My talisman, my Blue Dragon;
farewell is my fond wish, yet I abhor "all" good-byes.
Even so, sometimes life just is... Now I will ride my restless currents alone,
your guidance safe in memory's keep.

Oh, this is such a tremendous gift! I love the inter-
weaving of dragon/creative flame to currents/fluid
change. You capture something here of myself and
compare it to your own spirit making this a verse
of kindred souls. I experience much of this through
your writes and have been made better because of it.
Thank-you in glorious shades of Blue

I must confess I'm not much into the elves, fairies, and dragon lore so there's probably a lot of metaphor and similie lost to me. But the poetic form and imagery are wonderful. Nicely done.
