How quickly the hours fall away
When no one is around but you and I.
Lost on a distant coast,
The ocean sparkles of a thousand gems.
Underneath the sand, our hands meet;
A harmless gesture that still flushes our cheeks.
Your smile flows with sunshine;
Your laugh evokes pleasant music;
Your eyes conceal a hidden angel.
We both stare at the clouds,
Which fade into a starry night,
But still we linger,
Lost in bliss.
A whole eternity may pass,
But still we would remain two kids,
Playing our innocent games and singing silly songs.
No force on Earth could sever our everlasting bond.
Whether a meadow of flowers, or a field of snow,
There is no place we don't belong together.
I dare say that even the divine power of God could not separate us.
Forever, you and I will always be two butterflies frolicking in the woods.

Looks like I just turned your prompt into a word bank.

you are such a rebel zach. a brilliant rebel. haha. this was flawless. i loved it. you used each one as a word bank, yet it didn't feel all pieced together. it actually felt like a poem that was conveying your true feelings. word bank contests tend to make people to jump around from idea to idea but you didn't do that. fantastic job zach. no comments here. well done. :-)
