Soon I'll leave this world behind,
my family and my friends.
Eternal peace I soon will find,
when this journey ends.
Do not cry and weep for me,
but rejoice when I am gone.
For I've already found my peace,
and you must carry on.
Look inside your mind,
then reach within your heart.
That's where you will find,
me, while we're apart.
When as a family you gather,
for smoked turkey on the beach.
Find comfort in knowing I'd rather,
be just beyond your reach.
I made my reservations,
many years ago.
Now, without hesitation,
I'm prepared to go.
Paradise awaits me,
and Matthew awaits me too.
In heavens ocean we will ski,
and there, we'll wait for you.

Wow this will touch the whole family. The rhyme, rhythm and flow of this poem with the imagery was a pure delight to read. I love the gentleness and the positive words of God's promises of eternal life and that he will be joining Matthew. Bringing up the turkey on the beach is just great. THE FAMILY WILL LOVE THIS ONE.
