The beach is so inviting, the water is so cool,
I race along the shoreline, as usual act the fool;
The turkey is escaping, I cannot eat it here,
Like me it can walk freely, it has nothing to fear.
The breeze is light and airy, it blows on you today,
Caressing you it beckons and asks you out to play;
It will be like thanksgiving, together we will be
The beach is so inviting, this is eternity.

Reading the contest rules, prompts, and story really helped me understand this write..well done, poet. It was a difficult thing to write on, and you have handled it well.

like the lines about the breeze asking you out to play. The references to the turkey are interesting, quite original; I suppose there is a link with thanksgiving.
Enoyed this write.

Precious piece here. One usually tends to think of Eternity as this place where there is love and sweetness, but very little humor. I think you've broadened horizons on that while keeping it beautiful. Good luck in the contest!

Montie
