Stark white walls,
paneled white blinds,
on the one way glass windows.
Starched sheets of clean linen.
Glistening dialysis,
filled with urine colored,
liquad,
the only color in this,
canvas of greys and shades,
of white.
Even your hand,
is pale and as cold as snow,
that is covering my own,
is white.
I feel it growing colder,
the lights from your eyes are fading,
oh please baby,
don't go.
Tears stream down my face,
and your eyes search mine,
and you choke out your last words,
for me.
"Don't cry baby girl, please,
Smile for me."
I look into his eyes,
and smile as hard as I can,
while sobbing,
I see the light fade back into them,
as his heart's music,
slowly dies,
and his grip slolwy loostens.
Oh baby I don't ever stop smiling for you,
every smile I make now,
is for you,
and only for you.
