Truth of reason

(Read Author note before reading)


Why is it in this life, Can I not be who I am
In this life why must I change to fit those around me?
Hiding the being deep inside, having to lock me away…


My dear you just never hide who you are,
Be who is in your heart, not what is in the eyes of others
Hatred may form in others hearts, but to live in happiness with hatred is better then misery by hiding

How can the answers be that simple to my plight?
Why would the actions I need to do be so easy to find?
And what if I am persecuted for me just being who I am?

Not everything is always behind sealed doors,
Not all answers are so hard to find, if you look in the right place it will be revealed
And no matter what the world may see, you will always have a place with the ones who love you.

Even if you are right oh father of mine,
What can I do to protect myself from those who will hunt me?
What can I do to stay happy when hatred over shadows my sight?

There are questions only your heart can answer and this is one
Only you can know what is need for you, to protect or to find happiness
Search deep inside, and only you will find what can do in times of need, only you can find the truth

And how can I change, change my fear into power?
Stand tall for who I really am, willing to take all the hate,
And what do I do about the parts of me I truly do despise?

Simply want the change and slowly work for it,
Take time to reach your goal of being able to be who you are without fear
To change who you are on the inside is the hardest quest of all daughter

Only you will know the path,
Only you will know who you are and want to be
Only you can find the truth inside that heart of yours,


Oh but where can I find….The answer’s deep inside!
What if I can’t see the truth?  The answer will come, but only if you search.
      What if I can’t find my way? You will find it, I am certain, Believe and in time you’ll find it

Should I be what I am or what I’m wanted to be?
To stand for what I believe or to  hide for my safety
Will I change or stay the same…Only time will tell…
