    That probably did happen a lot, young people looking for some privacy and getting it where they could. It was a pretty romantic time in a way.

    Wonderful little haiku, it's hard to say so much with less space and you have managed beautifully. I would say sis gets a piece of cake for making the best of a sticky situation! Kudos!

    a good poem penned, this brought a smile to my face as it starts off quite serious then has a lovely light ending to the piece.

    haha. I like the last line. It puts a mildly humerous tone to the underbelly of a really serious subject. Great job. oh, and you get cake. A big piece of marble cake with tons of white frosting and hundreds of colorful little sprinkles for writing about WWII.
