We called to the south
a house on wheels carted our heals
to where we will go is down
Past a pheasant filled sky to where I see nasty men shoot up to them
This journey was like part two of Dakotas' anthem
Them in the fields filled the sight with a nature
Then came the water fill and a hill and funfil is the frill we imagined
and inside this big blue house on wheels came a great deal of talk
with a dash of excitement
So we took the train
Carted our brains and waited for the South to take us down to the
main points
Pin us down with the South we sang and we'll leave our accents and pick them up on our way back

heehee, I like the accent that you portray through this..although, south dakota is not in the south....its in the midwest, it's endearing nonetheless.
I love the imagery of the "pheasant filled sky"...pheasants are the state bird of SD...and so I'm glad you picked up on that and included it..and pheasants (the males at least) are beautifully feathered...so this paints a lovely picture of a South Dakota sunset..
charming write.
thanks for entering & g'luck! -

Hmmmm not sure what to make of this... I like the idea of it but was a bit confused by the "south" reference since, having lived both places, I don't make a connection... Nicely written, however, and a laudible effort...

hi Ken
thanks very much.. it was nice to actually have somewhere as a subject instead of the usual love and word useage contests.
you're lucky you've lived in both!
take care,
Leanne
