It is beautiful as a symphony and sorrowful as a ballad.
What do we make of the tears of the Earth?
We empathize and truly bear their worth.
And to reveal the truth through strings and loophole whispers
produces a damning clarity that is welcomed with a burning sensation.
Nothing is real or honest or of valor in the liar's book,
a scripture devoted to the treason of forever's cruel concept.
Here is the truth about the truth:
It hurts;
So we lie.
Author notes
I wasn't sure where to cite the poems used so I will do it here. Lines 1-4 are from Temperamental Rainstorm, lines 5-8 are from Throw Around Forever, and lines 9-11 are from The Truth. I choose these lines because I found them captivating by themselves and together I think they create an intersting poem. My interpretation of this found poem is that the rain represents the tears that we cry from finding out the truth about the truth. That we lie to make things better. It is true about all of us and it is something that we must except.
