Complacency and Arsenic

I stand as the manifested equivalent of pheromones on the wind.

I sit atop the rock watching the fires of our souls
collapse to each other amongst the remnants of Stonehenge’s unwritten scrolls.

We reel to the stars and they to the beats of our
hallowed bodies
swirling around us as the drunken indigenous.

we found that very spot where truth echoes, as
any spot that strikes the eye;
where the clock strikes and I, as we combined to formulate our third and
scrape the androgynous truth from the wind with our auras.

we burn the vehicle of our resurrection
to plant our demise and
taint the blood of the earth to death
as with her innocence her skin is shed
and we ride the winds of eternity to find her last breath

we unearth the eyes to find each other once more disconnected,
unperfected and staring blindly to the forethoughts of these ancient temple stones.
we writhe in the opiates that will be extinguished by the fearful
of our union with the center of the unspoken truth
and thus we pass down soiled rhetoric in dusty mislabeled boxes
to the children who will one day inject themselves with the virus

they thought it was the cure
but who could blame them when their minds never properly matured
on a diet of complacency and arsenic
and at such a young age turned senile and take the scenic route
riding the see-saw upside down drilling their heads in the ground
and its already been seen for they saw and convened
to write what we see; yet still we stand in awe

Author notes

Keyser Soze

This speaks most of the opiates of the masses...
Arsenic in rice, mercury in shots, depression meds, illegal drugs, and sexuality to name a few...

It also speaks of gov corruption with pharma and oil -
Ford once built a car completely out of hemp(marijuana), and the gas that was used was made from hemp oil. The legalization, even if regulated, would do away with most of our current concerns.

All I can say is that I hope you like it...

I nearly forgot the effect your words have on me... Chills and (almost) tears and wandering thoughts that keep me wondering "what the fuck just happened?". Yep, these are the things you do to me, my dear! God I've missed you! I'm so glad to see that you're still going strong.

What a wonderful two-fold work of word art. This is superior my friend. You have made my task that much more complicated. I am so very esteemed that most caught on to the form and combined it with spoken word.

This is excellent and leaves the reader with much food that tantalizes the taste buds and will take a time to digest. Thank you for this entry and I wish you the best in the challenge.

    Much Love ♥

The imagery and the depth here is incredible. Powerful "we pass down soiled rhetoric in dusty mislabeled boxes
to the children who will one day inject themselves with the virus
they thought it was the cure" Brilliant poetry!

a lump actually formed in my throat while i read this... and the line 'they thought it was the cure'.. wow! the intensity of the words you use and the sad truth of society's corruption, in whichever form, is told well in this piece... using the flair only you possess.

and is that really true about Ford? well, i'm sure it is or you wouldn't have put that tidbit in the author's notes... haha

I love the line 'and at such a young age turned senile and take the scenic route'. Sad but true in many cases. We are a lazy lot some of the time, and we look for the easy solutions - take a pill because it is easier than facing the monsters hiding under the bed.
I was fascinated by your notes about the car built of hemp. I had never heard of that.

Holy Heck!!! What an awesome write and you know I completely agree with all you've said... particularly the bit about the opiates of the masses, we are pumped full of so many things these days, knowingly and unknowingly.. like hormones pumped into meat and things like that... the effects of which are really being seen now in people!!

Even though I take a lot of meds due to my physical condition I do worry about it...

And the Governments have it in their power like you say to do away with a lot of our concerns, yet big business fuels their decisions and it's all about money isn't it!

Fantastic write!! I'm soooo stoked to see a new posting from you!!

A vision of truth to solve the problems of today. An idea or thought which could be used to save ourselves in this global unrest that has captured the essence of freedom in America...

Hmmm, it seems sleep did not help my understanding of this piece one bit. haha.

From what I did get, I can say that you interwove so many great images (really loved the imagery in stanza 5) in here. Just heartbreaking the reality of our society. Well done love

A voice that finds resonance in so many strings of meanings here, we know and know better and yet we live a lie and watch our young emulate the tragedy...so much bitter truth here like arsenic... a bitter almond taste that lets us know we have so crossed the lines...excellent perceptions, introspective and honest...especially enjoy the depth and style here... engrossing...PK
