Death lies in waiting

She hides her face
only time tells.
" Have I passed yet?"

" No my love
  Your still here."
" Shhhhh now. Close your
eyes love. It won't be long
now. I promise," she soothes.

Death waits
  beckoning at the door.
Eventually death will wait
no more.

Author notes

I'm feeling very down trodden today. Some one I love lost her husband after a long and hard fought battle with Hodgkins lymphoma. Please keep this family in your thought's.

  • a good piece of poetry, ah sadly death comes for us all, that does not take the pain away from its arrival though, it always hurts the soul.
