To be a mother.
I'm only 14,
I havn't even fallen inlove.
People are against pro-choice;
Well it wasn't my choice,
To be used by a man.
I can't keep it!
I wouldn't know what to do,
Or how to feed it.
I'd rather have it die now,
Than slowly starve to death.
I've learnt my lesson.
Never again.
I know I was stupid,
To be drunk with him.
I didn't know the consequences;
That mum would throw me out,
If I was with child.
I was too scared,
To have a child.
I've paid the price of abortion,
With my life.
The pain and humilation I went through,
To have this baby taken out.
Author notes
I don't believe in just getting abortions for the heck of it, I think that there has to be a valid reason for the abortion, which is why I'm pro choice. So girls that are scared won't have to go to some back ally because so many die from this. I noted this in my last paragraph, just because some people might use abortion as a birth control doesn't mean the people that need an abortion for the right reasons should have to suffer.

I agree, this is a very interesting title for the content at hand. But I love to see the point of view from such a young girl who is face is such a scary and imperative choice to make (whether it is actually you or just the speaker of your poem...).
Thank you for your views on this issue,
