Respect is a must, nothing compares to it
Love must be shown for words are empty.
Be a leader and guide her in the right direction
Become a fan and support her in all her endeavors
Know what she likes and learn all her dislikes
Once you know her style and vibe, you'll be just fine.
Honesty is a must for trust is hard to come
Understanding always opens unimaginable doors
Compassion and devotion are the keys to the heart.
Jealousy must be absent for it causes strife.
A confidant during her times of need
A shoulder upon which she can shed those tears
An ear, that's always on despite circumstances
A friend through the thick and the thin.
You are her man and on you she depends
Her heart is yours for the asking
Her thoughts are yours for the listening
All you have to do is open yourself to what she offers...

Hey, I haven't talked to you in forever! It's nice to see your writing up here again. Beautiful, as always. I really enjoyed reading it, especially that first stanza. "Love must be shown for words are empty" So true. A very wise poem.
