She sits there alone with tears in her eyes
The sorrow she carries in the tears that she cries
Her poor heart is breaking as he walks away
She knows he’s not hers but she begs him to stay
Her friends want to help but don’t know what to do
For what do you do when he doesn’t love you?
They watch as she cries with utmost sympathy
They would give her the world but she just doesn’t see
He’s too selfish to care; it’s all about him
He toys with her heart, breaks it on a whim
But she cannot see it; he’s everything to her
She doesn’t understand that she deserves better
Her blue eyes of ice are blind to the world
To all of the princes chasing this girl
She’s a sparkling diamond covered in rust
Her soul spoiled by a careless boy’s lust
But someday she’ll get it; she’ll open her eyes
She’ll finally see beauty in her first sunrise
A new love will save her, break her spell
And she’ll soon see that this world isn’t a hell

Interesting... What a sad, but unfortuanately, well known story. So many people do this to themselves. Thanks for entering. This was just all too real.
Best of luck in the contest.
