Music in Crayola

Play loud that lucky tambourine,
bring out all that can not be seen.
Painting lushes songs on the halls,
and chiming beats of orange and red,
like the dear and sweet tangerine
dreams sleeping deep inside my head.

Lavender sings so like a harp,
softly flowing, not moving sharp.
Lapping violet colors softly,
sleeping light purple at my feet,
pale violet strings now on the harp
raising colors seam so discreet.

The trumpet sound is yellow green
thinking deeply what it may mean.
Dropping it's globs into the sky,
of chartreuse beating little songs.
coloring the space in between
the mind's pale pockets of bleached wrongs.

Piano keys let oceans in,
swirling aquamarine through skin.
Lifting all notes whose slightly green,
and carry sounds of singing blue.
Holding, unable to begin
with fingers trembling all new.

Magenta skies flies metal drums,
so loud and bright the sound becomes.
Clanking so loud and pitches high,
the symbols charging moving quick,
unique sounds imagination
brought from a magenta drum stick.

This scarlet breaths in wooden strings,
like the lines a violin sings.
Soothing romantic passion tones,
that at a time will blurr the eyes,
and deep in sorrow sigh remorse
that deep in red the music cries.

Just like a picture is this band,
drawn by a little youthful hand.
Like lullabies the soothing sounds,
are drawing little ones to sleep,
and still the noise excites us all
touching our hearts and digging deep.

You have every color of the rainbow mentioned in this expertly written work of poetry. The flow is like a wondrous stream of steady words, nuances, metaphors, and vivid imagey.

    SUPERB!

Congratulations on earning the Emerald Cup!

    Nice!

This is really neat. I loved the way you combined music and color. Its so cool to see the different promps, and how everyone runs with them differently. Your rhyme scheme was great, and at times almost unnoticable, which made it easier to concentrate on what the poem was actually about. Great job!
