.You're in that Place.

Is it true?
that yesterday
you were here to stay
Is it true?
that today you're not here,
but what is it i fear?

'Cause I know you're in a place
where you feel His grace
at the sight of His face
In a place
where He holds you
right in His arms
where you have no fears
and you wipe no tears

Is It true?
that now you've changed
a thousand lives it seems
Is it true?
that you shine
from the snow that falls on me

And is it true?
that when I never knew you
it seems i knew you all along.

It's true,
that today you're not here
but why should we fear?

'Cause I know you're in a place
where you feel His grace
at the sight of His face
In a place
where He holds you
right in His arms
where you have no fears and you wipe no tears...
It's true.

Wow, this is truely powerful. How sad for little Renae to pass on at such a young age. This poem is a beautiful tribute her. It's beautiful how you wrote of her being home in the arms of Christ. Nice write, and God bless.

It's always hard to lose someone...but it makes it a little easier knowing that you will see them in heaven again someday. This was a great poem and thanks for sharing it Ash.

This was so nice, Ash. It's taken me awhile to be able to read these. I just had to judge the contest yesterday, and it was so hard. I wasn't ready to read these at the time, so sorry it took so long. i just couldn't do it. But now I can. I've been doing a lot of talking to God and He's assured me that she's perfectly fine...literally... PERFECTLY fine. That has helped me accept her passing a lot better. it is so sad that she isn't here, but it is so great that she's finally in the arms of God free of all pain and agony she once faced. God told me I needed to move on, and not dwell in it. I realized that dwelling in it and being so sad would be like... being sad because a little girl who was locked in a basement all her life, was finally let loose to go to Disneyland. She is far away from the pain, like you said. I liked how you focused on not knowing her, but having it feel like you have soo long. When you pray for people, you start to love them. When you think about people, you start to love them. All of us who prayed for her started to love her, and we still do. Little Renae is in "Disneyland" and no longer in the dark cold basement. She has been set free, delivered...She's finally at peace. This poemsong was really awesome, Ash. I'd say "I wish she could have readheard it." But she has. I just know it. Thank you for this write, it was amazing She's singing it right now, I'm sure God bless. -Saab
