(however weak, however quiet)

two hearts beat faintly
within a black room
heated only by their love
(however weak, however quiet)

they quiver, time stops,
Death watches, paces,
they grip, hold on tightly
(however weak, however quiet)

an angel watches, waits
for Love's miracle to
float across the room
(however weak, however quiet)

the lovers whimper, mutter
kiss and cry, they wait
for inescapable doom
(however weak, however quiet)

they stand, they embrace
the lights grow bright,
they room, so white
(however bright, however warm)

Love's miracle lives,
though Life's does not,
Two lovers face eternity together
(however bright, however warm)

Please tell me what you think
