Empty faces that drive the cars.
Empty faces walk past me as i walk past them.
Empty faces insult me as i just stare in disbelief.
Empty faces who are not free to be what they wished so long ago.
empty dreams are long forgotten as they walked that stage.
empty dreams as the cruelty of the world hardens their hearts.
empty dreams as their childhoods are dismissed for a less simplier life.
empty dreams were once dreams we held onto as children.
This fate hasn't avoided me,
it too changes the way i am now.
I know writing this,
i will not be the same person i was when i started.
The one thing i do know is this.
I shall not let go onto my dreams;
i can't for my own sanity.
They are the one thing that keeps my heart beating.
Call me a daydreamer all you wish,
i do not care anymore.
i know what i have to offfer,
and someday i will be what i wish to be.
All the empty faces and empty dreams out there,
i am one that doesn't give up on the things i worked so hard to get.
the ability to draw and write is my passion,
without it i wouldn't be alive...

my town is well known locally for sucking up dreams and keeping you trapped. i'm just one of the thousands of high school graduates that can't get out of it fast enough, but unforunately most of us can't. i know i can though, i have the will power to stay away from the place that causes me so much pain... i will not become another empty being in a town of lost souls.
