There is no bigger tragedy-
than a man without dreams.

Truth
resides within these ten simple words. For a man without dreams is simply dead internally. Almost as if "the lights are on, but nobody's home."

-
...or a woman.

I know; I actually felt bad about this. My original version used the words "a person", but it just didn't have the same ring. "Man" in this case means "mankind", but the 10 word limit made it hard to put it the way I should have.

Russell....
oh, honey, i wasn't giving you grief on the "man/woman" thing...just agreeing with you from a woman's point of view

Old hat, cliched it may be, but it still needs to be said, and you did...we all need them

All the best in the contest...Sue

Hello Breedluv. Sad or not sad I like it. It does have a ring like it has been said before, perhaps it could just be because it is true. My regards.

-
This is so real
that it sounds like it
should be cliche
Are you sure this is original?... cause I like it

-
-
It's original with me anyway. I may have read something similar in my deep dark past....who knows? Cliche usually has a lot of truth in it....and I know some people like this. Sad.

I know exactly what you mean... sometimes I question and sometimes I think I came up with something and truly did but i'ts been done before... originality is fleeting and hard to pull off and when achieved most people fail to understand.
