Encased and enclosed
potential, yet unseen.
Unseasoned by time,
unmanifested. Green.
Tempered by time,
acquiring attributes,
yet from soil and sun
rise differing shoots.
Some standing tall,
facing breeze and gale,
while others share
the same stalk, but fail.
Genus unchangeable,
a seed always true.
But a Eucalyptus into
dandy-lion never grew.

A beautifully simple poem with a trite conclusion.
Thank you for entering.
