Have You Ever Thought

Have you ever thought
of the stars as
God's daisy chain?

Think about it...
See the night sky filled
with dots and splashes
and patterns of white.

The fields are the same.
If you look at a lake
picturesquely situated
by the forests or mountains,

Don't you feel as if the
reflection of that landscape
in the lake is as real and
as tangible as the soil you tread?

What would it be to walk
in that mirror world,
upon the upside-down hills
and gaze back upon the other side?

Is it not like this with
the stars and the daisies?
Have you not thought about it?
Is the sky merely a reflection
of our world? Or vice versa?

Often I ponder the other side of the glass, whether the mirror or a clear lake, or the shimmering reflection in a bubble blown,

wondering what might lie there, beyond this fleshly place, beyond this dimension, familiar, perhaps we will know one day, perhaps heaven lies in the same place on the other side, only far more peaceful, and perfect then it was here. lovely write....~Artis

    great poem

I really did enjoy the imagery. I always like to think of things on a deeper level, so I found this poem very descriptive. It took my mind on a journey which is very hard to accomplish. Great job.

Actually, I've never really thought about it like that. It does make one stop and wonder if indeed it's like that

The last two lines in this poem are so vivid and strong. They ended the poem with such an appropriate impact.

"Is the sky merely a reflection
of our world? Or vice versa?"

Wow...How perfect. Another great write. Thank you for sharing it with us!

a very sweet and playful way of questioning what we tend to take for real ... if we realize that even while we dream, we believe that the scenario is "real", we may go further and even question the reality of the waking state ... isn't it just another dream in God's divine play ?

thank you for sharing your contemplative insights,

Awww you totally would have had that daisy chain contest. Maybe.
But anyway I like this. The question posed in the 5th stanza really piqued my interest.
Good luck in those other two!
