Today is a day that we shall all honor those who have fallen.
God has made his world be known to each and every individual.
I believe that we should not let our judgements take their toll today.
Today is a day that each of us should listen to those weakened.
I do not read the bible as often as I probably should.
I do not go to church like a regular church-goer would.
I will not preach to you or pretend that I know it all.
But I will set you down here today to learn a lesson and a piece of mind.
Those men overseas fighting are our brothers, our fathers, our cousins, our men!
Those poor souls over there holding weapons to defend,
They are those whom we've created with our very skills to mend,
So why do we fight for something that we ourselves fought for long ago?
Why do we fight to keep them from becoming nuclear?
When we ourselves already have the technology to start a nuclear war?
Do we kindly so want to destroy the world by our own dignity?
When the world alone has more power than it needs.
We gave mass weapons to many places throughout with out second guessing.
Now that we're thinking things thru we think: how about not!
I think its too late to forget what we have already caused.
If we wanted so much peace on earth then why did we start this revelation?
It was by our own hands and those of other places across this fine land,
To start to raise a fist and want to fight for what we thought was right,
Then those who we call terrorists come to take it all away,
For they all want the very same thing.
But instead we judge them just the way England judged us one day.
We say they have enough power to unite and gain their way.
Yet we are still over there continuing to fight.
Losing our men day and night.
I don't think that this makes to much sense,
And I'd rather think that it doesn't.
Now there are many things that I could say,
But they are things that I wouldn't.

Manifest Destiny: America is taking over the world. I don't agree with it, but it's either be taken over or be taking over... Both choices feel like crap.

So very true. It's sad, but true! Thank you so much for the comment. I haven't had the time to get on here much lately.
