The Seeker of Truth

The forest was once his happy home,
Far from Westland, Richard would roam.
To him, magic once did not exist,
But to this fantasy, he'd enlist.
His friend and grandfather gave him name,
The Seeker of Truth but still the same.
A woman sparked in Richard's eye,
Though she led him on with a silent lie.
She ruled the Midlands in her day,
But later Richard would ruin her way-
Of life with magic in their new world,
Everyone's life would become twirrled-
Into this fantastic plot of love and hate,
Of war and those who try to rule and dictate.
Richard found out that he controlls magic,
Both Additive and Subtractive but things became tragic.
Darken Rahl tried to rule all the land.
Richard fooled him and ruined all Darken planned.
Richard lost the man who raped his mother.
To Richard all that mattered was his significant other,
The woman who lied but still loved him so,
Kahlan Amnel would follow where ever he'd go.
So with that the first book was only the start,
Later, more and more could tear them apart.
