Once again into my inner monster.
They could never understand.
Stop.
Just stop staring,
I already know who I am.
What I am.
I wish the wolves would leave me be,
Let me live like a normal,
Two Rivers,
Blacksmith.
Ta'veren doesn't interest me.
I just want to be normal.
Blood and ashes!
Stop staring!
That boy was a wolf,
Lost everything.
All of his human qualities.
Will that be me?
If only they would just,
Stop staring,
Into my monsterous,
Yellow eyes.
Author notes
I've only read up to half way of Book Four: The Shadow Rising by Robert Jordan in the Wheel of Time series. So I'm sorry if anything stated is inaccurate to what you've read. And for this reason I wont read any of the other contest entrants so I don't spoil anything. xD I like Perrin myself and can relate to that feeling when someone is staring at you in a way you don't like. So yeah.

ecstatic!
This is great!!!! I completely understand that self-conciousness of his and that senes of despair when he seem the guy in that cage who had completely lost his humanity. And I think you portray it all VERY well!! It's good to know what point in the series you are viewing this from as well, and I won't spoil anything for you but I will tell you that there is hope for Perrin! He becomes far better at dealing with his "gift" as the tale progresses. ^_^
I wish you all the enjoyment possible as you read through the series!!
And your poem, it's absolutely perfect! Great work!! And thank you very much!!
