At times life is tough as a nail driven through your heart
Other times it's as easy as falling off roof tops
The nights are the hardest so I've come to reckon

This is amazing! It echoes the fear of being deserted if you give all to recive nothing. This is a wonderful piece.

This reminded me of a passage from Shakespeare,
"What win I, if I gain the thing I seek?
A dream, a breath, a froth of fleeting joy:
Who buys a minute's mirth, to wail a week?
Or sells eternity, to get a toy?
For one sweet grape who will the vine destroy."
