Dead Angels....
...they used to live in Heavens Garden by the river
Then came a darkness that made them shake and shiver
They turned to flee and then were swallowed whole
By the serpents rasping grasping tail...
Dead Angels....
Souls of the night they wander now,
For immortality made them ill and now
They cannot rest nor sleep in the ground
Souls are lost and never found
Dead Angels....
Whisper unto the souls of the night
Telling them tales of what they once saw in the light
Their eyes don't sparkle any more
Their heart has rotted to the core
Dead Angels...
Singing backwards the melodies that once were true
Gods lost ones that look now to me and you
Children of a sacred heavenly sorrowful one
No longer the children of the Sun
For lost is the love of the divine above
Given to freedome but never of love
Silently slowly their tears gently fall
For those poor Dead Angels are not Dead at all...

The last two lines are PERFECT. There is no way you could have done better with that. That being said, I love the imagery you use in this poem. Kudos.
Thank you for entering my contest!
