Creature of the night I wander
O'er nights fields I meyander
Think of light and what it brings
Listening as the moonlight sings
I came across a pool of light
That interrupted endless night
And in its waters I saw salvation
I beheld the wonders of creation
As the dreams unfold within
I feel my spirits tale begin
As I spread my night time wings
I hear the song the moonlight sings
Far away a bird is singing
Its gentle song and joy its bringing
Farewell to night all forlorn
As I await the coming dawn
At last to see the sun arise
The light of day into my eyes
I stare softly at the pool below
I want the daylight now you know
As the light now shines within
I feel my story of life begin
And now I spread my night time wings
To the gentle song the moonlight sings
