Is This The Truth About Me?

Missing image
Is this the real truth about me,
from this reflection that I see?
Beautiful wings this angel wears,
looking back at me, a heart without cares.

Confusion with this wondrous reflection,
my mind thinks of myself with evil exceptions.
Living with heavy wings of black,
beauty within is what I lack.

Yet I see peaceful tranquility,
within silent still waters of serenity.
Deep in thought within my soul,
beauty truly has been my goal.

Lost I became with the world of fears,
having a hardened heart for many of years.
How did this darkness within begin,
wounded child whom grew into sin.

Now as I sit with God's nature to behold,
I look inside, I've just been lost I'm told.
Releived to know the truth of what I see,
this beautiful angel is a message about me.

    Being human

I think we all doubt ourselves and our worth. At times when a tragedy strikes we may blame ourselves again and paint our world black. But beauty comes in many forms. And when the heart is beautiful so is the person. smile.

    congratulations on the shiny bling

This is a very pretty poem and allows for desires human natures to be led astray and for one to change without having to feel what they feel is such a bad thing , very good poem.

Beautiful. I love how this speaks of our darkness and depravity and yet offers hope of change in the end. Wonderfully done, my friend. It's good to read a piece of hope from you in the midst of your pain.

Wow.. I love this, the message is powerful about how we see ourselves through eyes of sin when really we should embrace the beauty, and let that grip go!

    I hear you honey

Yet often we feel through such pain
we dont want to go on but our minds refraim
And know the vision we see looking back so free so fair
It resides within us making us so aware
Let not the world pull you down
reach beyond the sorrows and that beauty shall come back around
Where the heart will be healed and the soul does fly
For their are those who so love you within this time

The reflection is telling you this is truly you
your wings so fair in all you do
Where often the mind speaks of a reflection dark and sad
Let not the mind turn your wings to black
Know that in that reflection is truly the wonderous angel with love on track .
