Take this to your Grave

I begged him to put down the gun
he said he couldn't do it
I told him he'd have a son
He said he didn't give a shit
I cried to him please don't die
He said its much to late
I had to ask him why
He said he couldn't wait
He held the gun to his head
He was about to pull the trigger
And as he was to be dead
My head was torn and tender
I said "hold on one minute"
There is something I should say
Just give me ONE more minute
Let me have my way
I must let you know before you part
I'll love you to the grave
You'll always be the soulmate of my heart
You can take this to your grave

Awww I'm sorry about your friend!... As for this poem, it was alright. I really think you could've put some imagery or a metaphor in it somewhere, but good use of the title. Thank you for entering my contest.

yeah thanx, he was my bf of nearly 2 years. he was only 14. I stopped writing poetry after he died. Then when I started again it seemed like he was all I could write about

Deep yet profound. You are natural.Emotion raked within me as I read this. I love the rhyme setup. It was perfect. You told a story from the heart and it spilled out like water on a bridge. The beauty here is overwhelming.I felt like I was actually there. Great poem

Wow hun. I love the poem. It made me cry. There are no words to describe how much this poem speaks. There are so many things that are deeper than just what is written here.
