Young Love

She was just a young girl
He was just a young man
She was his world
He was her biggest fan

His hands started to shake
As she opened the door
The night he had planned
Was like nothing before

They walked out to the car
She hadn't a clue
"It's not very far"
He said, "I love you."

He drove her to the park
And she still didn't know
The sky was so dark
And the starts all a'glow

By now she was curious
And he took her hand
She knew he was serious
As they walked hand-in-hand

She looked up above
At the stars of the night
A smile on her face. Love.
She knew this was right

He stopped her mid-pace
staring into her eyes
His heart started to race
Before his mind could advise:

"I want you to be
Forevere here, at my side
Will you stay with me?
Will you be my bride?"

She stared back at him
With those deep, lucious eyes
He thought chances were slim
But much to his surprise

Her eyes filled with tears
And the tears soon did spill
She demolished his fears
"Yes, of course I will."

Ahem. Rule Crimson Lies . Tsk, tsk . AND fifty lines ._. It's ok though.

I really loved the sweetness of this poem, the tenderness in it and the beauty. My only problem is that this moment is longer than what I was looking for, the description of driving to the park and opening the door. But that's alright because essentially, this does have the feeling and power of what I wanted. Good luck!
