Closing my eyes
on a soft spring day
letting the beatification
feeling the love
as my master chef prepares his meals
savoring the herbs and spices
made just for me
any fights
forgotten quickly
with his soft gentle touch in the morning
trying to make love quickly
before the children wake;
through the intense wealth
that fell into poverty
and was brought back up
to something inbetween
we did it together
Any and all loving words
sent to me from him
saved in my emails and on my phone
and shown off to friends
Children rummage through pics
a decade old
looking at mommy and daddy
Sleeping all day
and working all night
Paying a little more for rent
so the children can be well educated;
Giving in and getting her the internet
so she can write endless poems all day;
Respecting each others beleifs
which are the complete opposite
Buying that dinner with
a 30 dollar bottle of wine
22 dollar plates
costing 120 dollars
but enjoying the night
sneaking chocolate icecream in the fridge;
walking on the pier with the family
emailing children's pics to
the grandmas
somewhere in the midst of the nothings
we found love

This certainly is a great example of
what love really is. I love all of
the thoughts and emotions that you wrote
this with. We sacrifice so much for that
special someone in our life and can only
hope that it will be returned in the end.
